The other day we heard about the strength and stamina of Ado Woyenti from the mothers of Almaz and Haileyesus(Dambush). Today we bring you a
musical song about the mother of Berhanemeskel, Hayelom’s nephew. In this song Iyassu Berhe beautifully narrates how Berhanemeskel’s mom came by and asked her brother the late General Hayelom where her son was during the early days of TPLF? Miraculously Berhanmeskel’s mom was standing on the same place her son was freshly buried when she asked the late General Hayelom about her martyred son.
The struggle to defeat the Derge regime has consumed many lives. There are many mothers left with out a son and daughter! It may not be possible to tell all the stories of Woyane but it would be a shame on us if the legacy of those martyred does not live forever!
The question to ask then is what are we doing to make sure the revolution is not thwarted by reincarnated Dergist? Are we doing enough to keep the legacy live on?

Thought for Today
One of the lessons I've learned is that the quality of the answers that we get in life is truly determined by the quality of the questions we ask. by Paul Martinelli. VOA and Girmai Gebru and News from Tigrai
(Aigaforum April 09, 2008): - The Voice of America Amharic service has been churning all kind of news about Ethiopia. Most if not all of its stories ...
Ethiopian prime minister Meles Zenawi interview with NEWSWEEK's Jason McLure What is Ethiopia's plan to withdraw from Somalia?
Meles Zenawi: There are two issues here. First is the threat that was posed by the Shabaab [the radical wing of the Union of Islamic Courts] to Ethiopia, when they threatened to take control of the whole of Somalia and at the same time declared jihad against Ethiopia...

A Loveless Liaison or Endemic Dishonesty?
(Desta Berhe April 06, 2008):-
The Economist published this article the on April the 3rd, 2008 describing the Ethio-US relations as loveless liaison. I am responding to the article’s allegations and claims. All of the points are repetitions of previous relentless distortions by many Western media outlets bashing the Ethiopian peoples...
Comment: Kudos
to Reporter and Fortune
for getting back to their element of balanced journalism. The first analysis on the election campaign by a certain Selemon Goshu is a
good start though off its mark. Selemon is correct on his last comment.
EPRDF needs a better wording for on how to handle those who do not
only oppose it but up to sabotage its effort also. Other than EPRDF does
not need to soften on the opposition, it has to defeat them and defeat
them decisively. EPRDF is correct in identifying the type of constituency
and type of opposition and is correct also in its strategy of working with those
who want to stand as an alternative to its policy and its strategy to
fight those who want to use the loophole to destroy
the democratization process. EPRDF is getting clear on its duty as
government and as a party. There is nothing confusing about its strategy.
Diaspora Ethiopians raised funds to help Adey Amete, mother of Martyr Haileyesus (Dambush).
(Aigafourm April 04, 2008):- The listeners of Dimtsi Woyane and readers of Aigaforum in the Diaspora organized to raise fund for Adey Amete, who is the mother of one of the martyrs who lives in the hearts and minds of Ethiopians. The story of Woyane Tigray was told by Ado Woyenti from an interview by Dimtsi Woyane.Aigaforum posted the interview and...
Where is the Beef Shabait.com?
During the eighties here in the USA a certain fast food company had produced an ad that head lined where is the beef”” The ad was produced to undermine a rival burger. Today I read a news item from
shabait.com about Isayas Afeworki visiting development projects in Afar area (red sea region).
I realize the news probably came in response to
PM Minister Meles visit to the same area on the other side of the fence-on the Ethiopian side. Meles visited a huge irrigation project that will change not only the Afar people who reside in Ethiopia but also in Eritrea in due time. But Shabait where is the beef? You have pictures of Isayas Afeworki from all sides and angles but where is the beef? All I saw is Isayas Afewotrki walking on barren land?
Can’t you take a picture him swimming next to the fishery you claim he visited, or perhaps with the camels standing near port Assab? We all know Assab port has become a spot for thirsty camels...Zeru Hagos 04/08/08)
