| The moon has
not turned to blood nor have the stars fallen yet, but the
faithful have told us that Birhanu Nega will descend from
the mountain top and land in Canada. After successfully sidelining
Hailu Shawel and leaving the Birtukan group hanging to dry,
the agent of doom and gloom will tell us the road to peaceful
struggle has been closed by “Weyane.” In his unofficial
last visit to Mother Earth (exact sighting Washington DC),
he has witnessed the anointment of Abebe Below adorned by
VOA personalities,( the event that has fallen far short in
fundraising target), as the main voice of their forth coming
actions. Just in time the so called “loyal opposition”
has cranked up the noise that they can no longer use the democratic
space in Ethiopia. For the loyal opposition to be satisfied
by the process Beyene has to be elected president and Bulcha
has to have his quota in Parliament no matter how much weak
his party is. It looks more and more like “the loyal
opposition” is going to take on being a front to anti-government
forces as a full time job. Together with Shabia and the terrorist
ONLF, these forces are forming a constellation in attempt
to reach a self-fulfilling prophesy. |

EPRDF-SF Condemns Terrorist Action in Addis Ababa

Steep rise
in Chinese food prices
Comment: As PM Meles Zenawi stated in parliament,
the sharp rise in food prices is a global crisis that Ethiopia is not
able to tackle by itself. Of course, the 'oppose everything blindly'
type politicians like Merara Gudina would like to get as much mileage
from this crisis by trying to blame it on the government. Shame on them.

Suspect Terrorist Captured!!
The apprehension of individuals that has caused the death of innocent
travelers in the Humera region is an indication that the security
forces are working day in and day out tirelessly to safeguard the
country and its people. Security forces were effectively and quickly
able to break and get information into the workings of terrorist trained
individuals who are managed by the Eritrean one man regime. What we
do not know is how long this will go on.
