Meskel Square has invited its readers to read an article from weichegud. Being a regular reader we have obliged.If anything election 2005 has netted us the Diaspora many bloggers weichegud being one of them!

After reading the article we realized the folks at weichegud are surprised to know that NGOs are required to register and follow strict regulation. What amazes us more is that weichegud with their big mouth and vocal pen are surprised the government is doing its homework on one of their contact person.

To expect the EPRDF government give blind eye on a questionable money coming from the vocal Diaspora in the name of NGO is really expecting too much. When will weichegud and its staff realize better days can only come once the law of the land is respected. We are sorry Ato G has to suffer even for a single day but does weichegud think it is helping him and his cause really? Is not weichegud "ayni yebley seni yebely" critic of the governemnt?

Nigat Radio Admits the debasing of the flag but fails to condemn the act. It should have demanded an apology for the incident. They should have been willing to undress Shabia as they have done to Ethiopians who were outraged by the incident. The extremists will continue to strip over themselves for the simple reason that they can't justify working with forces that are anti-Ethiopia Shabia and separatist forces OLF and ONLF to oppose a government in Ethiopia that they claim to be anti-Ethiopian. UEDF-Diaspora should be appreciated for condemning the debasing of the flag and opposing the AFD which is naked tool of anti-Ethiopian forces.

Thanks to Hager Fikir Radio a caller to Negat Radio has confirmed the flag incident was real and as far as Eritrea is concerned there is nothing wrong with it. However ER in its zeal to discredit anything about Ethiopia has come out to defend the indefensible. UEDF Diaspora to their credit came out denouncing the debasing of Ethiopia's flag by Shaibya and condemned the silence by the other Diaspora opposition collections camped under the AFD umbrella. For ER to declare the flag debasing shown in ERI-TV as a hoax is truly amazing.

FYI: After much Nitpicking , including the fact that the document was written in Tigrai Tigrigna, Eritrean web sites are at last picking up the story that detail the tragic condition of the G-15. Awate has done a good job of not only translating it to English but also giving footnotes that collaborate the story.

Reliable source told Aigaforum the make believe story circulating in the internet about the missing Ethiopian Generals is just simply a make believe story. The source said there is no missing general or any officer from the Ethiopian defense force. This is a continuation of the vocal Diaspora and their cohorts ("sera bezu") campaign of spreading lies and rumors. As it can be recalled the Ethiopia defense force has dealt a sever blow to the weak terrorist cells operating in the Ogaden region recently resulting in the death and capture of significant operatives of the ONLF. ONLF to hide its comatose status in the horn region has now joined the vocal Diaspora supporters of the sprit full CUD and has now decided to join the rumor mill camp.

A high level Ethiopian delegation led by His Excellency Mr. Addisu Legesse, Vice-Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia and His Excellency Mr. Ayalew Gobeze, President of the Amhara Regional state completed a two day visit in Seattle on August 26, 2006...The Seattle event has set a new precedent where the silent majority has emerged to speak for itself. This will undoubtedly reverberate where individuals will independently think and through inquiry arrive at the truth.

The correspondence letters were taken from Keste Debena, a Tigrinya publication that was legally sanctioned to exist in Eritrea but no more. It is from its issue of 27 June 2001. On this particualr issue Keste Debena carried a detailed interview with the late General, Eqube Abraha. The General raised many fundamental democratic issue in Eritrea with president Isayas Afeworki. President Isayas ignoring the general's plea incarcerated him and eventually caused his death in prison. The country since then has seen worse and from the looks of it the end is not insight. Asmara as one recent traveler described it has turned to be a camp for ex-degre and OLF sympathizers while Eritreans who fought for over thirty years for freedom and happiness are in the dungeons of Era-Irro and fox holes of Sahel and Tesene! Gud eyu!
