Making the Mini-Boom Last Addisu Tadesse, an Ethiopian residing in the United Kingdom (UK) and working as a research and development engineer for a multinational company, has a very positive impression of Ethiopia’s economic development...(addisfortune) Comment: At least Addisu is honest about things! Though he is talking in the same breath about a boom and bust. Some of our opposition will tell you about the coming bust with out recognizing the current boom! The one man dictatorship regime of Eritrea finally accepts the status quo Zeru Hagos:-Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, hedging against any public uproar to push him to declare war on the one man regime in Eritrea if and when the regime sponsors another attack on Ethiopia through its surrogates said the following...
ARENA:
Welcome to the Crybaby Opposition CampTegadalit Aregash, in response to Ato Tsegay Berhe’s interview, complained that TPLF is waging smear campaign against them instead See Also:  More from reporter comment from reader:As far as the content of the editorial is concerned, here is my reflection. The editorial makes sense only when the underpinning philosophy of democracy and politics is Eurocentric. Proliferation parties or fronts focusing on local autonomies is congruent to African social reality, thus democracy and politics. The problem is, while all our lives are purely and boldly Afrocentric (including politics), as it should be, we never try to think why we borrow Erocentric manual of politics in the first place. Revolutionary democracy, group being the unit of politics, is the re-birth of pre-colonial African politics. Proliferation of local parties is a must as far as EPRDF doesn't drop its ideology --Revolutionary Democracy. And EPRDF has more reasons to promote revolutionary democracy if it is looking into what is going on in the whole Africa.[Desta, 01/14/08] |
On the unprovoked assault on the people of Tigray by the Ethiomedia editors
Mulu GS Some one who wishes Siye to remain Siye and not a laughingstock of the Shewakena ought to remind Siye to say something on this issue. Did he say what he is quoted to have said or not! Like you our readers we hope Siye did not say that, if he did it is his loss not ours. Fortunately Tigray has many heroes and heroines to look up to. We also know the story is not true.
China’s sympathy for Kenya sideswipes democracy
Genet Mersha Comment: Is stability not critical to develop Democracy? Or it is democracy that brings stability? If so was the US which has become the bastion of democracy and stability a democracy from its inception?
Ato Seye Abraha in Denver: My Take
By Tizibt M. Comment: It is reported that the Denver Meeting is chaired by a person of Birhanu Nega Group. According to an interview in Capital Birtukan asked Birhanu to come to Ethiopia to help them in this critical time. He told her he is staying in the states for six months. Here he says he wants time to think how and where to lead the struggle. True Arada. Seye should not expect to be taken seriously that he is on a worthy path that eyes on national interest that transcend personal vendetta and political party acrimony while forming unholy alliance with forces who are behind Shabia's AFD. |
