The
Mehal Sefari throwing in the towel?
The chauvinists are busy fending against
the sneaky, crookish, double- crossing setup of the
Mehal safari, that stung and paralyzed the unsuspecting
EUDP_MEDHIN. With the decision to kill KIL (give back
their leadership back to the CUD parolees) the chauvinist
may have bulldozed on to have their way.

Engineer Hailu Shawel has confirmed
what Aigaforum has been telling you all along! Kinijit Ethiopia
similar to Kinijit Diaspora is no more unified. Hailu Shawel
in live interview with his supporters in North America has
endorsed the leadership of Dr Taye and Shaleqa Yoseph, risking
a confrontation with Berhanu Mewa group and Dr Berhanu Nega.
Sources are telling us Hailu Shawel while exceptionally healthy
at the moment skipped Kinijit meeting in Addis with the excuse
of not feeling well. The meeting in Addis is rumored to have
disbanded KIL and KIC. Stay tuned for further development.(07/25/07)

Taming Tekeze!
The Huge Tekeze Hydro power project in the
north of the Country is progressing well. Over 50% of the
work done, the project is slated to finish in less than a
year and half. All major components are in place and the dam
nearly 70 meter high in early July has started collecting
water.

Dear Netters,
The Ethiopia constitution, as is the case in any other
democratic country, is the guarantor for our individual
and collective rights. No one can be above the law.
The recent clemency is nothing but an extension of this
constitutional order. CUD leaders have used their constitutional
right to ask for clemency and we are glad the Ethiopian
government accepted the request. We think from here
on CUD politics as it was is over. For all of us sake
we hope lessons have been learned and CUD leaders play
it safe from here on. No amount of bravado will force
the government to lift the clemency but playing "hide
and seek" with the likes of Shaibya and with known anti
peace and anti constitutional elements anywhere will!
Aigaforum will try to live up to its mission and concentrate
on developments and good neighborliness from now on.

Statement
by the Embassy of Ethiopia on False Reports by the New York Times
Income
from exports grows 17 percent
Ethiopia's exports in the ended fiscal year generated nearly 1.2 billion
USD in revenues, according to reliable sources. Although it failed to
meet the target, the amount earned has, nonetheless, marked a seventeen
percent increment over the revenues earned in previous year

| To readers....
Can some one try to talk to Dagmawi? Readers please
tell this guy that there is no starvation anywhere in Ethiopia
at the moment. Beside please tell this guy not to appear fool
by splitting a hair to make a mountain out of a mole.
There is an ongoing military operation in the Ogaden region to
clear the terrorist ONLF after it crossed the red line and massacre
innocent civilians. This operation is called for and supported
by the local inhabitants. In due time if and when Dagmawi gets
his act together and buys patience he will see the result. The
result in this case will be a peaceful and prosperous Somali region
engaged in development.
Does Dagmawi understand there are hundreds of Somali Ethiopians
in the west like him and have not said a word about starvation
and blockading? Come on have some humility please and do not use
the famine of 84 as talking point pls! It can only bring the worst
of people and start telling you what you do not want to hear.
I am tempted! Really!

Changing Faces of Addis
This new building, named EDNA building, slated to open for the new
millennium will be changing the face of Addis for good. The complex
situated in the middle of Bole near the magnificent Bole Medhin Alem
Church, will have three cinema complexes, a world-class entertainment
center for kids furnished with the latest arcade games and other physical
games as well as electronic gadgets. The developer TekleBrhan Ambaye
is very pleased things are progressing well in time for the new millennium.
The complex will have world-class restaurants and beauty salons and
office spaces.

Two of the cinema houses will seat 180 each and the third 500. Unlike
other huge complex in Addis this one will have a parking garage to
accommodate over 100 cars at a time. This is a welcome sign for the
parking stricken Addis residents. This building is one among the many
high-rise building crowding Addis. |

Why it is Morally
Acceptable to Support Ethiopia
Mulugeta Alemu, July 25, 2007:- Washington Post’s July 21 editorial titled
Problematic Ally: The Moral Hazards of Dealing with Ethiopia’s Meles Zanawi
leaves its readers with listless queries. I had mine especially when ironically
the paper chose to take the official moment of pardoning of Ethiopia’s
opposition leaders an opportune occasion to throw a triad against the
Government of Ethiopia.

WFP says no Ethiopia aid blockade
WFP the major food distributor in Ethiopia says there is no blockading
and food is reaching areas affected but New York Times quoting its source,
no other but the ONLF terrorist hiding in London says not so. For a genuine
newspaper interested in covering the news, WFP the only major aid distributor
in Ethiopia with a track record should have been enough a source but then
New York Times when it comes to Africa and Ethiopia has a whole new agenda
and has decided to use a terrorist as source.

What
next for Ethiopia's freed leaders?(bbc)
Some (cud leaders) may be retiring as Aigaforum indicated in its early
reportage and some may be thinking a come back. What is certain is those
who would like to test the water again will have a whole new ball game
ahead. Gone are the days of hate politics and uncensored speeches that
caused the mayhem of last election. The prime minister was very clear on
this issue in his press briefing which the BBC noted properly!

Fearful West tries to create another Darfur in Ethiopia!
The West uneasy about the Chinese foray in to Africa especially
in to Ethiopia is trying to derail Ethiopia’s continuous effort to democratize
and develop. Behind the façade of continuous criticism about democracy
in Ethiopia by the likes of the New York Times lies a concerted effort
to halt Chinese development effort in Africa. The ONLF is a terrorist
organization. Unless the New York Times has found a new meaning for terrorism,
the ONLF is a terrorist organization. It is absurd New York Times is quoting
the ONLF for its reporting.... more
