Update On Vocal Diaspora and Tensae Radio
(Aigaforum March 06, 2007):-Tensae Radio the known vocal Diaspora media outlet has become the latest victim of the schism between Shaleqa Yoseph and Mr. Mewa. As readers recall we informed you that Hailu Shawel and Berhanu Nega relationship has soured beyond a repair. The Split between Berhanu Mewa and Shaleqa Yoseph is a side effect of this.
Today Tensae Radio is on the verge of shutting down. Our sources told us Tensae radio was registered under the name of Hailu Shawel son and since the split of the North America Kinijit, Hailu Shawel son has been ill treated by Berhanu Mewa group. Today Tesnae Radio board committee lead by a certain person named Solomon will make the final decision to shut it off permanently. It is rumored there will be another radio stationed to be opened some where in the States.Stay tuned.
It is to be recalled Tensae Radio has been one of the main radio station one way or the other that has been promoting hate and mayhem in our mother country Ethiopia.

Why I am not surprised to read the e-mail from 'kerenay'
Many Eritreans expressed fears about possible retribution against their family members in Eritrea if their names were to be publicized. They spoke about a vast system of tightly knit informants and government supporters across expatriate communities and various forms of government intimidation...
Thought
for Today
""The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes. "

Government quiet over missing staff in Ethiopia
The Independent said armed supporters of Somalia's fundamentalist Islamist Courts regime were known to have taken refuge in Eritrea following their defeat by Ethiopian forces late last year...[ Shaibya may have determined its own destiny with this act!]

Update on the abduction of British Embassy Employees
Personnel's from the British government were given a pass to go and visit ground zero where the employees of the British embassy in Addis Ababa were abducted. The British government has started negotiation with the Eritrean government for their release. At the same time our sources think the British diplomats may not have had asked proper permit to visit the area from the Ethiopian government.
Mean time although western media have reported this as an attack on French Tourist it was not. AP has it all wrong when they reported the French tourists were missing. In fact the tourist operator Origin Ethiopia has told the media in Addis that none of the tourists were harmed or disturbed during the camping trip. The British embassy employees were there on their own and in different area.
The Afar region has become one of the premier destination for tourists in Ethiopia. With its live underground volcano and being the place for our early human ancestor Lucy it is becoming a Mecca for adventure seeking tourists. The Ethiopian government will defend vigorously the fledgling tourist’s destination areas. The Eritrean government is well advice not to hurt the British embassy workers although these people may have not had a proper clearance to visit the area. All tourists in the area were returned safely.

Warning
to Eritrea over seized Britons
Britain warned Eritrea last night that it expected the prompt release of a group of diplomat tourists after claims that Eritrean soldiers
were behind a cross-border raid on a remote region of neighbouring Ethiopia.

Update on the tourist abduction....
According to Mohammed Abdi from Berhale Afar Ethiopia, there were 13 Ethiopians
and five foreigners abducted by an armed group wearing Eritrean military
uniforms. The place they were abducted from is part of the disputed border
that lies within Ethiopia. Sources from Berhale told us the five foreigners
work at the British Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The armed group burned two cars from the Afar Kilil and damaged two other
cars belonging to the foreign diplomat. Our source told us the armed groups
were units of the Eritrean military speaking Afar and Tigrinya language.

10
French tourists kidnapped in Ethiopia
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Ten French tourists were kidnapped Thursday in
northern Ethiopia, a businessman and a tour operator who work in the region
said.Associated Press writer Anthony Mitchell in Nairobi, Kenya contributed
to this report
This is a damaging story to the fledgling tourist industry
and the sooner the govt or the MOI address the issue the better. Given
the proximity of the place to Eritrea this could yet be another work of
Shaibya trying to undermine the security in that area. In any case 24
hours have passed and the Ethiopian govt is not saying much. That is not
good.
