In hindsight!
Prime Minister Meles in one of his public interview said, the best
strategy to defeat the one man dictatorship of Eritrea intrigues
and ill advised plans for Ethiopia is to make sure Isayas Afeworki
or any one aspiring to cause Ethiopia harm by hiring and recruiting
Jelewoch (foot soldiers) will not have Jelewoch. The premier said
as long as there are willing foot soldiers for the enemy there will
be instability and disturbance in Ethiopia even after Isayas and
likes are long gone. Today I could not agree more with the premier.
If Abeba, a foot solider herself, who was in no way in harms way
can leave Isayas’s Afeworki regime, there is no reason not to support
Ethiopia’s policy against Shaibya. It is working!. "Knee-jerk(regihit,tigrigna)
is not a Strategy", indeed!

Comment: The crybaby opposition has found a nich business. The business of complaining. They
can't even be honest about agendas they have agreed with the
ruling party. It is good that the media is starting to ask
them to be accountable and use the media they have at hand
to show what they can offer instead of wasting it to lodge
another complaint.
The Reporter has done good job of giving access to the opposition.
But the interviewers have to do better job than a survey taker
with a list of questions. They have to be versed with the
issue so that they can bring informative interview. For example
Dr Bulcha has said so may things that are a contradition with
the reality. The interviewer never made it his task to point
to the contradition and keep the person honest.

Don't glamorize insurgents

the embattled Hailu can not forsee working with Dr.Beyene group,
accusing them of being a channel for "Woyane". It seems
he is mending his relation with EPRP which had severed its relation
with Ethiopia's HIBRET because they[HIBRET] later decided to join
parliament. It is no wonder Hailu damped the maveirick Bediru
Adem (who came to his side in time of need) for the militant Dr.
Taye who is said to be undeclared EPRP. |

He admonishes Hailu Shawel for his dictatorial behavior and predicts
what is ahead for the troubled dysfunctional group.
Addis Ababa, March 4 (WIC) – Government electronics and print media have
reportedly allotted airtime for political parties running in the upcoming
elections
Comment: In the absence of vibrant
private media which can support the democratic process with out resorting
to government media help and the presence of irresponsible opposition
who only see a zero sum game approach to election, the current air time
allocation by government media outlets is the best any one can hope. However,
the government ought to do its best to support those principled and responsible
oppositions!
