economy withstand such effect with its fast growth if inflation
is left uncontrolled? Do you support Ethiopia's current step to
curve inflation?
Kestedemena sprinted out
on the back of AAPO (turned AEUP), besting it in the art
of chicanery, and is forming a new party. The election
board has avoided
being party of the tag of war b/n Kestedemena and AAPO/AEUP
to get a cover of legitimacy from an institution whom
they view with contempt and work for its demise.
Kestedemana is still rehashing “peaceful Struggle”
(which is huletun Matakes - as if they have not tried
every thing in the bag )and playing the good cop/ bad
cop tag against the government and the ruling party. As
long as they are equating the system to South Africa and
Colonial Britain and mold their struggle to undo it accordingly,
they are Anti-government forces. Any self respecting government
has no obligation to give legal cover to these forces
nor should the ruling party engage with them as if they
are partners to build democracy in Ethiopia.
As much as the government and its institution has the
obligation to give those forces who are committed to multi
party system, ranging from the ruling party to the loyal
opposition, all the space needed to enjoy their Constitutional
right it has a duty to protect the political space from
forces that would like to use it only when its serves
the ultimate end of undoing it.
Question of the Day!
Is there another talking head in DR Beyene Petros and Dr Merera
Organization? Unlike other political organizations in Ethiopia,
DR Beyene has been the only face and talking head for his
organization. The same with Dr Merera. How is this to help Democratic
Ethiopia build respectable political institutions? What if the
good Dr pulls a Berhanu Nega on his organization and asks for
leave of absences to mount a mountain in search of answers?

Election
2008 will come and go but Dr.Birhanu would rather talk
about election 2005, bamboozle his supporter about an
unanswered Questions, which
are apparently already asked and answered by himself in
Kaliti, than taking up on request from his Kestedemena
colleagues to come help in Ethiopia.

Comment on the Article:- Sacrificing upstream brothers and sisters
will not work. And as the going gets tough, it will definitely go wrong.
Your survival was, is, and will never depend on your own governments’
wickedness but on the generosity and godliness of Ethiopians and other
upstream people.(Desta, Aigareader 03/17/08))
