Is the word "Region",
as in "Ethiopia and the region" in the document, added
to give cover for the OLF and ONLF, who don't believe they are
Ethiopians with CUD consent?
Comment: The
Statutes of the Alliance clearly indicate, the interest that is served
is the interest of those forces that are fighting against the Unity
of Ethiopia and the interest of Shabia, whose influence is clearly
shown in the document. The word “region”, replete in the
document, is a guise for OLF, ONLF etc that don’t believe in
being Ethiopians.. For all its destructive nature, at least this
time round, UEDF’s vehement rejection of the Alliance may have
been correct(albeit much of it is for the wrong reasons. And the significance
for its insistence on the inclusion of the word Ethiopia in the name
of the Alliance can not be understood with out reading the document
itself, hence the source trouble for UEDF in explaining itself over
the weekend. ). For all its rhetoric about Ethiopia being balkanized,
divided by ethnic region, the signing of the Statute of the Alliance
unmasks that CUD will go to any length to gain power. For all its
Election time bravado “CUD is in the spirit of Every Ethiopian”
how did it manage to be a junior partner in an alliance where the
dictates of the OLF, which has no quantifiable presence in Ethiopia,
is palpable in the document. It is an ironic
deal where by narrow nationalist secure the surrender of chauvinists
with the laters consent. OLF, lowering its rhetoric a noch this
days, is laughing all the way to the bank with 20,000 and counting.
What a downfall of the CUD! From landslide victory in the Capital
and winning a sizable seat in parliament to being a pawn in Shabia
conspiracy and an OLF side kick. What was CUD thinking?

Which ever the case, the real Ethiopian Unity is
realized not by a transparent pandering of Oromos by a unabashed Tigrian
bashers, but on the tomb of Chauvinists and narrow nationalists, in EPRDF
parlance. i.e. when CUD and OLF change their pillar ideology of chauvinism
and narrow nationalism.

Diaspora CUD, who claims to be blessed by its leaders in prison,
who usually likes to rap itself in the Ethiopian flag, has pledged
alliance with the OLF on Shabia sponsored conference. While Diaspora
UEDF is making it clear that it has nothing to do with OLF led alliance
on the basis that it compromises Ethiopian sovereignty. The tempo
on the opposition side is increasing. Diaspora CUD –UEDF are
hurling insults at each other like there is no tomorrow.
