''Somalia: The Dynamics of Post-Intervention Political Failure''
Report Drafted By: Dr. Michael A. Weinstein [It is amazing how this man seemingly goes from predicting that the horn will be engulfed by anarchy and war if Ethiopia intervenes in Somalia to equating Somalia to Iraq! Are we missing something? Knowing his prior prediction along with his credibility has been damaged beyond repair, which he should have known when he started churning articles and analysis with out setting a foot in Somalia, he is now predicting Somalia will be Iraq! As they say in Ethiopia this is clearly the case of “ke detu wede matu” Not sure if this learned man really knows anything about Somalia! The extremist agenda does not enjoy a popular support. Though they tired to hide behind the Hawiye clan after their defeat they have been rebuffed thus why TFG and Ethiopia were able to uproot them from Mogadishu and sent them packing to Asmara. Somalia come rain or shine will always be protective of their clans thus will always find reason to fight until they sort out a working formula to coexist together. To this end they have started the journey. One thing for sure, Somalia form here on will not be a base for terrorist and strategic enemies of Ethiopia. That was Ethiopia’s mission and it has superbly accomplished its mission. If in doubt wait and see]
Somalia , the UN and all-too-brief international visits
(Abdulkadir Younis):- In his column on May 18, Salim Lone finally accepted, if only in a brief and rather reluctant aside, that “some [civilian atrocities] have been committed by the insurgents [in Mogadishu ] as well.” Equally, he still continues to argue, against the evidence on the ground...
Notice-to-Proceed Launches Ambitious Red Sea Crossing
Enjoy this positive news, the West is clearly going to be on the defensive, it can not ignore Africa any more with such developments and China’s involvement. The world is too large to be dictated by Rohrabacher and company we might note!

Lynn Fredriksson and Amnesty International USA taken to task by the Ethiopian government! Lynn is challenged to reconcile recent events in Somalia against the biased report given during the congress hearing. Gone are the days where liars were allowed to go unchallenged! About time!

China
buying an African 'empire'
CHINA intends to provide about $US20 billion ($24.3 billion) in infrastructure and trade financing to Africa during the next three years, eclipsing many of the continent's traditional big donors by a single pledge. The West must realize Africa sooner than later will
catch up and be competitive. Africa’s raw material and human wealth will
not be exploited the way it has been. China is coming to Africa not to
buy an empire but to make a sound business. In Ethiopia's case, unlike
the West, China is building a long-term relationship by investing in infrastructure
and technology. Some westerners have been tying their willingness to invest
in Africa to good governance and democracy. However in the face of their
huge investment in China a communist country and other countries with
worst problems in good governance, their stand on Africa is wrong. Buying
an empire or not China is coming full speed to Africa and we Africans
should welcome with open arm.
