Addis Ababa, May 10, 2008 (WIC) – EPRDF Supporters' Forum said it
has been undertaking advocacy works so as to enable Ethiopians and
foreign nationals of Ethiopian origin in the U.S play their part
in the development works ... Forum Chairman Engineer Mekonen Kassa,
told WIC that the forum was set up at an international level in
order to help Ethiopians in the Diaspora have full knowledge of
the progresses made in the political, economic and social sectors
in the country.

The Government of Ethiopia categorically rejects the allegations
of Amnesty International that Ethiopian troops in Somalia have
killed people by slitting their throats “like goats”. This is
an outright, and deliberate, lie, fed to Amnesty by groups affiliated
to Al-Shabaab, groups that use the cover of human rights to promote
their terrorist agenda...
Sudan has cut ties with neighboring Chad, accusing it of helping
train the rebels who attacked a suburb of Khartoum.
President Omar al-Beshir said Sudan "reserves the right to respond
to this attack," in a speech broadcast on television.
Comment: The capital of Sudan is under
attack. This is bad news for the Self appointed border committee and
web sites who are creating fiction telling us the Sudanese army attacked
Gonder when Sudan is preoccupied by its own problem.
Britain offers Ethiopia $260 mln to fight poverty
ADDIS ABABA, May 8 (Reuters) - Britain said on Thursday it will give
Ethiopia 2.5 billion birr ($260.9 million) this year to help the Horn
of Africa country try to achieve the U.N. Millennium Development Goals
(MDGs).

Eritrea army 'entered Djibouti'
Djibouti has accused Eritrea of violating its border by sending troops
into its territory. "The two armies are facing each other. The situation

regime in Asmara or its disciples in Diaspora that churn fabricated
stories day in and day out to destabilize and misinform Ethiopians
and the world at large. We know it is Shabia’s trend to fabricate
and disseminate white lies. However, from time to time fearing
the “wushet sidegagem…” adage we are forced to say something.
The latest innuendo coming from this camp is about Ethiopia giving
huge portion of land to Sudan . Reliable sources from the Foreign
Ministry told us that there are no new developments in the border
area and no land has been given to Sudan...More...
