Comment:- The Arab League is clearly meddling in Somalia. Prime Minister Meles is quoted to have said that his government is willing to wait out shaibya until shaibya tries everything under this earth to hurt Ethiopia and realizes can not do that to make peace with Shaibya-Eritrea! The assumption here is that shaibya cannot hurt Ethiopia. We are not sure if there is any benefit to undermine a sworn enemy like shaibya but the prime minister ought to smell the coffee and do something about Somalia. He may have the luxury to undermine Shaibya but he will be mistaken if he is also to undermine the Arab League and the machination of Amr Moussa! The Islamic forces are stretching their meager resource and closing in to our borders. Is there any better time and opportunity than now to challenge the extremist Islamic forces and redouble the diplomatic effort? The prime minister should redouble the diplomatic effort in the Arab world and a trip to Egypt would not hurt.

OLF Disarms CUD (With out a single shot) Diaspora CUD has reached a point where it can no longer sugar coat the AFD. 2 core believes of the CUD, which it has said is the main achievement of 2005, 1) The acceptance of multi-national parties over Ethnic coalitions. 2) The rejection of article 39 and Ethiopia’s reality post 1991. AFD is formed on a premise that not only negates the above beliefs, but also goes to the other far extreme. AFD and Ethiopia's sovereignty AFD and multi national parties OLF was not only able to redefine what CUD has said to have had achieved in election 2005 but also bring CUD to form AFD (with the blessing of the Kaliti leaders according to Endalcachew Tsege) effectively abandoning its core values. Through AFD, OLF was able to internationalize a local issue (over the protest of people such as Ambassador Imiru) and get the co-operation of CUD in its effort to bring about transitional period where by conducive conditions (translated: removal of forces that are in its way to achieve cessation)are created to conduct a referendum for Oromia. What is amazing is OLF's Boldness and growing strength and CUD growing weakness, acquiescence, readiness to be a sidekick of OLF.
