Defamation Serves Nothing
|
|
I have read the news posted on Ethiopian Media Forum, EMF on September 11, 2006. The posted piece consisted erroneous information and is completely a fabricated one.
I have of course been in USA for a couple of weeks on a vacation. However, as posted on the web-page, I have never tried to meet a lawyer to facilitate my asylum.
Let me use this opportunity to inform you all that I still work for my government and country at the same Embassy with a great dedication, commitment and integrity more than ever before.

Update
on Fake New Year Message
Ethiolion has
admitted that the said audio sent to them was from Last Year and
is misleading. While EMF who pre-announced a New Year message
from Hailu Shawil did not have the decency to admit.
The whole fiasco is telling that the extreme end of the opposition
is stuck in time - every New Year declaring their fight to be
short and victory to be certain, instead of cutting their loss
and join the effort of democratizing in Ethiopia as legitimate
opposition.
CUD Diaspora
The never-ending Saga of Kinjit
Diaspora folks have reached a new low. Ethiopian Review as
the king maker has been coronating individuals based on jailed
kinijit leaders wishes. Not to be outsmarted Ethiolion has
now come with a New Year message from Hailu Shawil even
though the message is from last year as seen here
on AEUP web site verbatim, except, the audio is edited
for items that show it is last year's (such as "Mikirbet"
and end of the message that state CUD is forming a merger).
It was said then 1998 will
be year of Freedom. Now it is 1999!
Every one knows Ethiopia is
a democracy where the individual is allowed to speak his/her
mind no matter where he/she is. Dr Berhanu wrote his latest
book form prison and there is no reason why Hailu cannot write/record
a New Year message from prison. But the vocal Diaspora does
not get this. Instead is playing a fools game to outsmart
each other.
CUD
Diaspora
How
Low can You Go?
ER would have like us to believe AFD to be
Oromo and Amhara alliance against Tigrians. The fact is, it
is a CUD alliance with forces that have vowed to break up
from Ethiopia through the sponsorship of Shabia.
CUD, the party that vowed not to include Ethnic
party and rocked the country by claiming it has won at every
corner there by rejecting Ethnic federalism end up with a
lame strategy of unholly alliance with forces who still state
they are under the colony of Ethiopia.
AFD is a clear proof that narrow nationalism
and chauvinism should be fought against because in the end
they are the two side of the same coin.
Ethiopia wishes everyone a happy new year!
On the other hand extremist Diaspora wishes mayhem, hooliganism
and ethnic conflict.

EDUP
calls on citizens to embrace national vision,
extricate Ethiopia from quagmire of poverty
In a statement issued yesterday by the Executive Committee
of the party under the title, "Peaceful struggle is the only path
to democracy and peaceful transfer of power” indicated that lamenting
on old wounds of the last election would be merely wasting time and makes
one accountable to the next generation and history.
Citizens should therefore draw lesson from the past election and make
preparations to perform better, it underlined.

A Commentary on the “Open Letter…”
Zekarias B
Open Letter to Prime Minister Meles
Girma Kassa
Comment:Not sure which Kinijit and which
leaders Girma is talking but if there is any thing we can learn form the
written and audio messages from Kaliti, it is not peace and reconciliation
but more of the same belligerence and contempt for the institutions of
Ethiopia. Girma better write to his leaders than the Prime Minster, whose
job is upholding the Constitution and not gambling the sacrifices of thousands
only to endup legitimizing outlaws.
