(Aigaforum 10/10/2007): -The House of Peoples' Representatives and the House of Federation during their joint session on Oct 09 2007 elected Girma Woldegiorgis for his second term in office as President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE).

The Forum appreciates the president for his unwavering and farsighted leadership that propelled Ethiopia to become a world player it is today. During his first term as president, president Girma led Ethiopia to become one of Africans fastest growing economy and an important player in the world.
