(Aigaforum June 22, 2007)-It seems our vocal (extreme) Diasporas are mad at Aigaforum for posting the story about the negotiation between prosecutors(govt) and Kaliti prisoners. Knowing the extreme Diaspora appetite for misinformation it is understandable if the current news is not leaving them holes to spin and misinform. If they have any credibility the people who leaked the information to Ethiopian first .com would have leaked it to them. But we all know they are not and the negotiators have shunned them away. Come to think of it even KIL has decide to shun them away otherwise Dr Moges would have alerted them to save them shame.

If the government of Ethiopia see any good to come out of the release of the convicted leaders it is not for us to say we know better do not release them. But if democracy is to take a strong footing in Ethiopia the rule of law must be respected at any cost! Any one found guilty can get pardon by the state under the constitution. Cud leaders are Ethiopians and under the constitution, they are also entitled to benefit from it. If and when the leaders are pardon we are glad they have decided to take advantage of the constitution.

Of all websites Abugida, EMF and Ethiomedia questioning our credibility is bemusing. These three websites have been churning day in day out all kind of news hoping they will unseat the EPRDF government in Ethiopia. Little did they know EPRDF is not a creation of their imagination? Little did they know EPRDF has defeated them fair and square in all fronts? If it helps Ethiomeida this is for you. You recall what, bless his soul, Assefa told you sometime ago? In case you forgot he told you “you can do what ever you like and it won’t matter…mengedu cherq yadreglih”. We will gladly tell you again… go ahead do what you want, it won’t mean anything! Ethiopia is not your imagination that will crumble at your whim nor TPLF is.

If any one will refute our account of the event and convince us beyound a reasonable doubt DR Moges was not involved and the letter that triggered the negotiation is false then come clean and we will gladly recall the story. Otherwise we stand by our source.
