Ethiopians negotiators are on the verge of securing the released of convicted Jailed Leaders!

The other day I heard Dr Taye has been elected as a chairman of a reconfigured Kinijit Diaspora as directed by Hailu Shawel from prison. The other day I also read Hailu Shawel may have signed the dotted line, as they say, asking PM Meles Zenawi govt for forgiveness for all his wrongs during and after election 1997. The problem I have is, the offshore kinijit, as Aiga calls them, are showing no remorse and even going the extra mile to upset the plea-bargain kinijit leaders are entering this coming Wednesday(06/27/07). Wouldn’t this open for a case to hold Hailu Shawel and prosecute him to the fullest? How is it possible PM Meles missing this glaring fact of double dealing exhibited by Hailu Shawel?

I think the government should be very careful not to alienate its own supporters and the Ethiopian people at large. The constitution must be respected at any time. It is the constitution that is holding the country together not any one else. The government should make sure Hailu Shawel and company are not undermining the constitution. One way to make sure that is not the case is for Hailu Shawel to come clean and order his lieutenants to stop their venomous propaganda against the constitution and the State and openly declare his condemnation of the ONLF and Shaibia. If you recall it is Hailu Shawel right hand man that signed an agreement with Shaibia sponsored AFD. AFD is a joint front for OLF, ONLF and CUD. And we all know who these organizations are: terrorist and killers!

I see a better day ahead for Ethiopia if these prisoners are released legally. I am also very satisfied person today that not the usual fernij but Ethiopian negotiators are the ones who would make it happen.

Bless Prof Efrem and his associates. Ethiopia has entered a new frontier in resolving its own internal matters. I wish this has happened during the last war with Eritrea. Many lives could have been saved. I am glad Prof Efrem and his team has managed to short cut lady Ana Gomez machination. I read Ato Tamerat, jailed leader, saying Kinijit only lives in the mind of Ana Gomez and Donald Yamamoto! I wonder why? Does any one think it is because they are worried about us? Don’t think so but I would not mind to read you take on this.
