Fekade Shewakena and Yared Tibebbu...... that personality matters?

 I read your piece about Fekade Shewakenna and Yared Tibebbu I am very much astounded by your vitriolic tirade and pointless rants. I know Fekade Shewakenna and Yared Tibebbu, they are friends of mine, and they do not deserve a minutiae of those invectives you hurled at them. As an Oromo, I am not surprised by the infusion of psychoanalytic invectives you invented about both. It has been said that, the usage of invectives, overt and coded name-calling and verbal abuses are a time honored Habasha virtues.

Your solipsistic psychobabble notwithstanding, I have not noticed any valid rebut or refutation of the issues Fekade and Yared eloquently wrote/argued about with Woyannee cabals or some other Ethiopians. Their poised views about the oppressed nations of the Empire are very well-known through-out their occasional essays they post on the Ethio-centered websites. I agree with them when they expose the nefarious Meles thugs who rule the Empire like a mafia pillaging Oromia/Ethiopia's resources for the growth and development of Tigray ! ( I do not know what nationality you belong to, but it does not matter, we need to argue the facts) All the available economic data indicates that Tigray is the beneficiary of a favorable budget allocation and hording of resources that comes from development aids as well as general revenues collected from taxes and other means. ( the World Bank and FAO-STATS could be consulted ).  Fekede and Yared vehemently oppose the ethnic arrangements the Meles and his coteries/mafias contrived to suit their objectives of divide-and-rule. As an Oromo, I have argued with them about the notion of Oromia and how the Oromo nation was conquered and incorporated into the Abyssinian empire during the scramble for Africa. Their responses were always civil and convincing. As an Amhara men, they could have been dismissive and self-righteous, ( as some of them are when issues of nationalities are raised) in several fora that I have observed Fekade and Yared always mediated the venomous views that some of the domineering Amhara intellectuals espoused.

To this extent,you could have done your self a favor had you consulted some of the essays/articles Fekade Yared authored prior to casting aspersion on their motives and meanings of  "stocks and social lives ... and articulation of their personalities" among the Amharas nation! I really do not believe that the nuances  and subtleties in their up-bringing, relation with others has any thing to do with the seemingly dense yet vapid commentary  you wrote about them!

Perhaps you could employ your Freudean concepts/method to investigate the psycho-neurotic conditions of the TPLF leadership, especially Meles and his cabal of the Minelik Palace whose behaviors are amoral and criminal as well as lack of remorse and shame when they order the massacres in Addis, Awassa, Ambo and even the engineering of the the Dergue massacre of the citizens of Hawzien?

Well, I can go on and on but, we are condemned by geography and history to find a mediating paradigm to resolve the regions predicament. Name calling and vituperative discourse do not help. History will not absolve us if we, the "erudite/enlightened" generation can't understand the parallel world we are in,  in the Horn of Africa.
