Mixing Faith with Politics,
“Christian” fanatics in the making?
(Aigaforum, May 22, 2007)
As all of you dear readers can attest Aigaforum, unlike other websites, did not
interfere or advocate supporting either the Ethiopian Orthodox Church or some
of the disgruntled Diaspora Churches. This is so despite one of our strong members
living next to one of the worst, if we can call him an abune, an abune
nonetheless who every Sunday pollutes his captive audience by hate speech. The
Abune lives in Oakland California! However today we think the red line has been
crossed, it is not a church squabble any more that is driving the schism within
the Diaspora Orthodox Church followers. It is hate and Religious fanatics who
mix politics and faith.
In the following clips you will hear a certain abune in the Vocal Diaspora camp
uttering words, let alone an abune even a priest would not express. You will hear
a hateful person that should not have become an abune even to the Vocal
Diaspora! You will hear him and his disciple’s chant how they are going to hunt an
individual person(listen to the second part) who stood up and asked them all to
be decent human beings at the very least.

Part II
(Audio source from Kinijit Switzerland pal talk room)
Under normal circumstances this
commentary would have been made against Kinijit supporters in Diaspora. But an
Abune going mad is not really a normal circumstance. Honestly we do not even
think these are your normal kinjit supporters. How could they be? After all
Kinijit has few leaders who are really good people. Can you imagine Prof Mesfin
and Berhanu Nega sitting side by side with this particular Abune?
The Vocal Diaspora has been beaten squarely in its own game. Not sure what to
do next it has decided to hide behind a religion. If “kaba”(a distncitive robe wore by high priests) could make a
difference then “gelebiya” (A tunic worn by Moselms)should have made a difference in Somalia. EPRDF is winning because it learns from its mistakes. Why can’t the Vocal Diaspora
learn from its mistakes also? It is absurd the Vocal Diaspora has chosen priests
and deacons to do its fighting. How cruel can they be to drag religious
leaders to the fire?
