Do we really
understand the “Orchestration” behind Ogaden?
The insurgents who are claiming now to be the ONLF fighters are practically the ousted UIC members and their supporters inside and outside the area. This is the other tactic of terrorists in collaboration with terrorist sponsor governments in the eastern Africa. My surprise lies on the main puzzle, when the insurgent groups are blocked round; the so-called “Human right watch” organization starts to shout on to the other world as if there is a human right disorder. In this case the sponsors behind the killing of innocent people in the Ogaden oil research area seems to be these “human rights organizations”. Because I didn’t heard when they condemned the killing of 74 innocent people publicly. The different NGOs in the area are trying to speculate things when the Ethiopian Government tries to stop their logistical supply to the insurgents.
The other main thing is that almost all the shouts by the name of different groups claiming to represent the people of the Ogaden is completely absurd. These are the other face of the Somali extremist and terrorist groups or other individuals who are seeking political asylum in different countries for economic purpose. It is not difficult to identify who is who from the Ogaden area concerning representation of the people.
My second and biggest surprise (with evidence) is that some individual fellow Ethiopians being biased or unknowingly are trying to give their support for the so-called ONLF in all aspects. Here I can’t find any logical argument to understand this position. My big question is “are we supporting our enemy who is working day and night to destabilize our peace, development and economic benefit at large? Are we working against our territorial integrity? We can oppose and fight EPRDF but not this way. The out come will not benefit Ethiopians.
If we think that ONLF is a member of the newly formed ADF, yes it is true but that is another story, which I will not discuss now. But we have to realize that ONLF was also a member of UIC (there is concrete evidence) and its’ political agenda is completely against of Ethiopian interest at all. The killing of 74 innocent people is simple example, and the message is very clear for all Ethiopians.
On this regard I call all Ethiopians who aspire economic and democratic development and good governance in our country to think deeply and widely that the new millennium is really for good in Ethiopian history. Please let us contribute our share for that rather going on the wrong way and cooperate with good for nothing.
