Pal talk, Bolger and the Lying Liars!                 

(Zeru Hagos, Dec 23, 2006):-With the crowd at pal talk winding down, the pal talk fad passing thru time like the velvet and afro fashion before it, I glance to the blogging sphere to see what is being said of late. If you remember Gutena/Afro used to be a sign of a "revolutionary" in the old Ethiopia of the sixties. Today for most it is being a pal talker and bloger that distinguishes if one is a "good spirit" like a kinijit or not.

To my surprise Addis ferenji has decided to call it quit and is now back gone to her roots. Apparently she had misunderstood "kalsiena merier en newhin eyu!” She thought Ethiopian politics was a weekend affair. Little did she know it has consumed a generation of Ethiopians!

Then I glance to the other myriad kinijit honkers and "ayni yebely seni yebley" critics of the EPRDF. The vitriolic "ante qoy asyahalu" fukera is replaced by an hour by hour analysis of Kaliti prison and the court proceedings. One of them has even tried to shed a crocodile tear on Seye Abraha condition. I am not sure about you all but for me every time I read this blogers what comes to mind is "Tigre wede mekelle eqa wede kebele" slogan they have been fond to say out loud. Now imagine them telling me about Seye a one time hero for many Tigreans!

It seems the flu that has infected the Vocal Diaspora has also infected these blogers. It was obvious these blogers created their blog page hoping EPRDF was paper tiger and all it takes to undo it was to keep writing all kind of rumors and pure lies. This was obvious by the number of blogers that came to being right after the election. It was all to obvious these blogers were the ones that polluted the print media in Addis so much so they influenced our decent peace loving people to raise machetes against their own self. Thanks to God these forces have been relegated to cyber space and in the process became a spirit!-on their own account. One of them has even gladly declared as a kinijit supporter, kinijit the sprit that is!

The future may not be bright for these folks. The only reason many of them exist is that they have the “blessing” of Hailu Shawel and Berhanu Mewa, their Gods who created the spirit

In the absence of Hailu Shawel and Berhanu Mewa many of them will continue to use their [Hailu and Berhanu] names but it should not be long before the two gentle men will say out loud who their real supporters are exposing imposters from real ones. Knowing these groups have a very divergent views I can not believe they will all get the nod from these two gentle men from a long term prison cell or home sweet home soon.
