SHAMEFUL VOA DOES IT AGAIN !!

 

 

My question to VOA is, when will VOA Amharic ever learn professionalism and responsibility??  The latest shameful work from VOA today, Monday January 21, is one of the strangest one.  I never thought it would occur but VOA amharic presenters systematically excluded all negative details about ONLF's terrorist activities in their Monday report and included all negative things about Ethiopian government. What is shocking is the Ethiopian VOA presenters defying and omitting negative report about ONLF in contradiction to the written original report displayed on VOA website.  This shows how bold and shameless these VOA presenters have become!!  Despite reading all the other details on the article recently displayed on the website, VOA presenters once again showed that THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED by systematically ignoring a whole paragraph that mentions the brutality of the ONLF terrorists.

 

The last few months, VOA has been systematically reporting only negative news about our country because of the shameful politicians inside the studio.But when these politicians systematically exclude important detail about the ONLF killing 200 civilians, someone has to say something!!! A security cheif from Ethiopia, the oldest and independent respectable country, sorrowfully reports how his fellow Somali-Ethiopians have been massacred by the ONLF the last two months, how irresponsible and inhumane can the VOA opposition politicians get to omit such an important detail?? According to the original written report on VOA website, it says "Security chief Abdi Mohammed Omar told VOA the rebels had killed 200 civilians over the past two months." 

 

Sadly, the VOA presenters care more about painting our government in a bad way and angelizing the ONLF rebels rather than caring and reporting about 200 Ethiopians massacred by ONLF. It seems the people of Ethiopia are powerless in front of the mighty VOA, but even if VOA doesn't care about its subjects, we will still continue to expose the radio!! 

 

 

For what it is worth, here is the original VOA online report made secret by VOA radio "reporters."  You can read about the sad killing of 200 Ethiopian civilians over the last 2 months in the 10th paragraph of the article. http://www.voanews.com/english/2008-01-21-voa13.cfm   MAY God save Ethiopia from the VOA politicians.!!!  I conclude my article honoring Annette Sheckler, the former head of the Horn of Africa service of the Voice of America in Washington. She was fired by VOA about 10 years ago after she exposed the hijacking of VOA Ethiopia services by supporters of militant opposition groups. Ethiopians will never forget the bravery of Annette and we will not forget the 200 Ethiopian civilians and many hundreds more people massacred and assassinated by ONLF throughout the years.   Ethiopia will prevail!!
