Sheik Sharif Lied: He has fled Kismayo and is on his way to Kenya.

The last bastion of the extreme elements of UIC and foreign mujahadeens as well as Shaibya foot soldiers Kismayo is under full control of the TFG and Ethiopian forces.

The last battle to defeat the UIC extreme forces and mujahadeens was stalled for two days due to the unilateral ceasefire by the joint forces of TFG and Ethiopia due to the holiday EID. While the TFG was observing the ceasefire the extreme elements were fortifying and digging trenches around Jilib. However source told us the battle for Jilib lasted only two hours and the extreme forces along with the mujahadeens left the area after sustaining over 200 hundred dead and wounded.

The lower Juba Valley has been the bastion of the extreme UIC elements and their international terrorist supporters. They have invested for over 10 years in this area. The area has been used to stage attacks against Ethiopia along its southern border near Kenya. In fact Sheik Sharif and the other leaders have vowed to die defending Kismayo. However in a little over two hours battle the Sheik and his dwindled forces are on the run to wards Kenya. While the remnants of the extreme forces are fleeing towards Kenya residents around Kismayo have welcomed TFG and Ethiopian forces warmly.  From Jilib to Kismayo residents came out to show their support to TFG as well as Ethiopian forces.

The heroic Kismayo residents after a fierce fight against UIC forces in their city have managed to safeguard key buildings from looting. They have now transferred authority to TFG forces and have pledge to work with the TFG to keep order in the city.

The Joint TFG and Ethiopian forces will continue hunting the retreating forces. The extreme and mujahadeen forces are heading towards Kenya and it would be mistake for the Kenyan government to allow them shelter. Kenya needs to stand firm against international terrorist. They have attacked Kenya sovereignty not once but twice. And as prime minister Meles said it will be fascinating to see if Kenya will turn the other chick to these terrorist hoping the terrorist will be nice to Kenya come next time.
