Teddy (a suspected killer) and justice
Teddy (a suspected killer) and justice

Some months ago, as usual vocal Diasporas were busy to welcome their “leaders”. Then, they have reason to get together. As always, it did not last long. After the “leaders” milked the innocent immigrants as different groups milked them at different times for the last 20 years, the leaders are disarrayed and disappeared with the money. No one can ask where the money is. Now, they become history. The left over is calling to each other you are Woyane, not me, you are woyane. This episode played over and over in the Diaspora’s World.
So, the hopeless Diasporas are looking for reason to make an issue out of a suspected killer. But the question is what happens to that all cry for rule of law and justice for all.
I know the noise was not about justice and democracy, but let me just take their word for the sake of argument.
The vocal Diasporas lectured us about democracy and rule of law that they will bring to Ethiopia when they take power again.
Now, they are saying all lives do not have equal values. Some Ethiopians are more equal than to others. If you are a powerless and voiceless poor peasant from Gojjam, Gondar, or some part of the country, the killer should not be questioned in court of law. This is what their sense of justice. That is what we are going to get when they rule us if they make it again. Hopefully, a just God will not let it happen and Ethiopia is changed forever.
As usual the vocal Diasporas never make sense; they said the suspect is in jail because of his songs. Really? In a nation where MP is calling PM Meles to resin, a song is more threat to the government? In a nation where organized political parties operate and free press is flourishing, an individual and his song is a threat? Some years old song is more threat than before, after CUD died?
The fact is there is a person who is dead and there is a suspected.
They demonstrate in support of a suspected killer not for the victim. It is not surprising Melaku Tefera’s disciple Ato Tamagn and his likes demonstrates in support of suspected killer, what amazes me how he managed to own VOA Amharic services. I guess he is also their frequent political guru in a land of some Pseudo intellectuals and crooks. No wonder the journalists (ideally suppose to be an independent and neutral) participated in fund raising to topple the government of Ethiopia.
