Tedy Afro Rocks Bay Area, while Solomon Tekalgn Rocks the Diaspora.

Tedy Afro the renowned artist rocked packed house admirers and music lovers in Oakland California. Ted who had tempted to cross the line that separates artist and politicians with his ill conceived single from his last release during the last election has abandoned altogether his political ambition and decided to focus on his god given talent, singing. As you recall the vocal Diaspora has tried in failure to retain Tedy as its spokes person when they promoted his tour over a year ago. Tedy since then has returned to his mother country and established his business with out any harassment and retribution for his flirting with the Vocal Diaspora.

Ted is by far one of the top performers and singer Ethiopia had in along time. He was in Oakland California amid his Millennium tour in North America this weekend (5/19/07).

Unlike his last tour, his controversial songs that touch nerves with former fighters like EPRDF members, was missing from his current tour songs. Though he was touted by few goers’ to raise the split finger salute he resisted the temptation and remained true to his word refusing to be drawn to the Vocal Diaspora hate politics.

Mean time the other vocal singer who rocked the vocal Diaspora with catchy and highly political songs over the years, Solomon Tekalgn rocked the Vocal Diaspora during the same weekend. This time not with political songs but with his live interview from Addis Ababa on Civility Pal talk room. Solomon after debuting his Abba Tsebel Yerchun single-track song has made a 180-degree turn and decided to drop his political ambition.

Ever since his return from Asmara, Solomon has been hinting that all was not well with the Vocal Diaspora! He unmasked the biggest lie of the Vocal Diaspora about the presence of a huge military wing of the opposition in Eritrea immediately after his return from Asmara. Today he has taken the last step to come clean and told the truth about Ethiopia /Addis Ababa. He admonished a certain website about the lies it has been churning out about Ethiopia and Addis. Solomon told over 150 room participants that came on a short notice about the reality in Addis. The reality being Addis Ababa is beaming with Millennium sprit and business was booming.

The vocal Diaspora has not had better days and from what we know is coming down the road, it won’t be seeing a better day any time soon. Stay tune for the next key figure to drop the bomb. Cannot wait …
