The one man dictatorship regime of Eritrea finally accepts the status quo
Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, hedging against any public uproar to push him to declare war on the one man regime in Eritrea if and when the regime sponsors another attack on Ethiopia through its surrogates said the following: Unless Shaibya blocks all avenues to continue our journey to develop, even if it lays down across our path, we will try to circumvent the obstacle and move on. He said this after Shaibya tried to distract Ethiopia using terrorist and mercenaries by causing significant damages in Afar, Ogaden region of Somalia and Addis Ababa. Prime Minster Meles thinks such provocations are prices the country will have to pay to win the war against poverty.
Today it is Wedi Afom’s (Isayas Afeworki) turn to set the stage for the unfortunate Eritreans who have been held hostage in the name of unresolved "border" issue. The dictator is telling his people to rejoice the status quo has been respected. A status quo the Ethiopian government has long ago accepted to live with when it declared and recognized Eritrea as independent country. I wonder what virtual demarcation he is talking about.
Read the following and tell me if this means the war Shaibya told the world is coming last September, October, November and December is now off. I do hope so but more than me, I think the Eritrean people will surely hope so! The shackle and fear that has been hovering over them [Eritreans] for years will subside.

Now that the regime has said it loud and clear that the border is defined, Wedi Afom should open the border and let people move around, approve a constitution so that Eritrean can have a country! Let oppositions compete like in Ethiopia for power! You know Ethiopia with out a clear demarcation on your side of the border has been doing fine with her economy and her citizen’s democratic aspirations. Although you could have done likewise since 1993, I hope you can do now with your virtual border demarcation. Am I fair in asking you Wedi Afom? What did Donald Payne ask you BTW? Did he mention anything about accepting “virtual demarcation”? Just asking!
Oh yes! On your demarcation argument, how did you jump from your final and binding argument to starting another legal option? Were not you saying the deal is final and no other legal body is required to resolve.
Aye Wedi Afom tselam mealti weleka badme ketwerer! (It was a bad day for you when you invade Ethiopia through Badme!). I remember one of the TPLF member (now Ex-TPLF) saying in response to a question what will happen if Eritrea does not withdraw from Badme. He said: We will evict the invading force and then ask Wedi Afom entay delika eka! (What do you want?).
True be told that is exactly what happened through the past years but neqas (stubborn) Wedi Afom does not understand it yet. He thinks there is a Lord some where the Ethiopians will be forced to obey to hand over their hidmos and seqela’s (home). Neri'e BeLet Ewerti (I shall see says the blind!)
