We know it is Shabia’s trend to fabricate and disseminate white lies. However, from time to time fearing the “wushet sidegagem…” adage we are forced to say something. The latest innuendo coming from this camp is about Ethiopia giving huge portion of land to Sudan . Reliable sources from the Foreign Ministry told us that there are no new developments in the border area and no land has been given to Sudan.

We have information that this manufactured news is coming from the coalition of Shabiya, its sympathizers and inept Ethiopian oppositions. These enemies of Ethiopia know no boundary when it comes to spreading false information with malicious intent to unseat EPRDF. Nonetheless, the Sudanese and Ethiopian governments are in good terms. Issues that arise from trade and security matters between the two governments are being resolved amicably and with civility. People in the border from both countries now and then obviously have issues of land. Given the vast empty land in between the two countries some farmers are known to expand their farmland across borders. Such issues are always resolved quickly and judiciously. We are telling you this so that you are better informed and aware that the border area is peaceful except for the Shaibya foot soldiers coming and going. The peaceful relationship between Ethiopia and Sudan has been a bad omen to Shaibya and its followers. It is precisely because of that why Shabia and its stooges are trying to create discord among Ethiopians by continuously producing “Bere Welede” or false and misleading information.
