To All and Our Readers,
(Dec 17, 2007):- Aigaforum has been striving to do its level best to work with any one that is willing to help and promote Ethiopia’s new image and to nourish Ethiopia’s unity in Diversity. We think we have done our best so far. We have worked with individuals and groups in tandem with good results. Once we realized the Diaspora was hijacked by extremist we have gone beyond the call of duty to confront those who were harming the democratic process in the country. We think we have succeeded in that front also. The Diaspora is in a much better understanding today than it was before. Many thanks to those who journeyed with us in this struggle over the past few years. Our journey will continue until Ethiopians of all walks of life have three meals a day and those who wants to undermine her are defeated. Our struggle from now onwards will be to fight her enemies from far and near. The concerted effort by some western news media is hurting the country. It is incumbent upon every Ethiopian to fight this fight besides our own extremists! The game is changing fast and we should too!
We had also liked to introduce you a new website that is doing a wonderful job. The website is hebrezema.com. We support and appreciate their effort to bring you breaking news, interviews from Ethiopian Forum for Political Civility and views about Ethiopia. We will continue to support more voices of peace, voices of reason to come to the stage representing the silent majority. We ask our readers to be accommodative to differing ideas as long as it is not a destructive one. Give people a breathing room space to do their fights the way they know how. What matters is the end result. Ethiopia as a country with many nation and nationalities will certainly face challenges in the future. Though the constitution has guaranteed the right of nation and nationalities in the country with a clear political boundary for people to exercise their right within the country, the Diaspora community has not been a reflective of this reality. We think we have reached a critical stage in this regard thus we call on all community leaders to come together and forge a strong alliance. Let us, together, help the democratization process get stronger and bring about a better Ethiopia!
