Adventurous Somalia extreme UIC elements routed!

(Aigaforum: Dec 22, 2006):-The extreme force loyal to UIC who tried to cross the red line between Mogadishu and Baidoa has been routed. A knowledgeable source told us the Islamist extremists were decisively defeated and has retreated for now. Many conscripts were taken prisoners and many have died. As you all know there are foreign “Jihadists” involved in the ranks of the UIC foot soldiers. The UIC leadership at first thought to be from respected Somali elders has been hijacked by extreme “Jihadist” with terrorist credentials. Some of them are wanted by the US and Ethiopia for orchestrating terrorist plot.

Ethiopia who has been helping Somalia’s to resolve their difference is running thin on patience. The UIC has been harboring and training bandits and opposition forces who are aligned with the Eritrean Shaibya regime with the aim of transporting them to Ethiopia. In fact sources say some of these force were intercepted in the border area before they cause extensive damage inside the country not too long ago. It will not be too long before Ethiopia declares in kind to the “jihadist call for an all out war with Ethiopia”. 

It is not if but when the UIC and it sponsors will meet the Ethiopian defense forces. When that happens sources say the battle will be also with Eritrean mercenaries, OLF sawa trained conscripts and Arab militants. This will not be the mother of all battles but a short exercise for the battle hardened Ethiopian defense forces. It is expected Ethiopia will withdraw quickly its forces and leave the transitional government of Somalia to work out its difference with the UIC moderate groups.
