Extreme UIC elements in Somalia in disarray: Ethiopian and Transitional Government Forces on the move to Mogadishu.

(Aigaforum Dec 26, 2006)

Reports coming from the war front tells total collapse of the extreme and foreign mercenary fighters in Dinsoor and Buur Hakaba.

The victorious Transitional Government of Somalia forces supported by Ethiopian Defense forces has now full control of Buur Hakabaand Dinsoor. As reported yesterday the central front of Beledwweyene has been broken and task force in that front is marching toward Jowhar after controlling "Bulo Berde". Source from the front line told us the offense is continuing and no major resistance in this front since yesterday.

The Dinsoor front has been completely routed and Dinsoor is now under full control of the Task Force. After over running the extreme and foreign mercenary defense line, Ethiopian and TFG forces are continuing their offense towards Mogadishu. City resident welcomed the Ethiopian and TFG forces with warm welcome.

Buur Hakaba the strong hold for the extreme UIC forces and the much talked foreign mercenaries that chose to camp and establish a defensive line there were over run yesterday night. This morning the Joint forces of Ethiopia and TFG are in full control and have continued their march towards Mogadishu. Residents in Buur Hakaba have also welcomed the Joint Task Force of Ethiopia and TFG forces.

Since yesterday the extreme UIC and their foreign mercenaries have sustained heavy casualties at the Dinsoor front. Over 500 foreign and UIC extreme elements were killed while 700 wounded and 12 armored trucks burnt and 10 taken in working condition. In the Buur Hakaba front over 300 dead, 550 wounded and 10 armored trucks burnt and 5 taken in working condition.

Extreme and mercenaries left their strong hold military base in Buur Hakaba full of logistics. Residents told our sources the UIC forces left their wounded and weak behind retreating toward Mogadishu. Most conscripts were seen changing their uniform and abandoning the unit.

Mean while the TFG has called on all conscripts and Somalis to leave the UIC extreme camp and join the Transitional Government forces. In the Galakayo front, in "Dhusamareb" and "Adado" area many UIC forces have joined the TFG forces with full logistics including their technical.

At the same time residents in Kismayo and Mogadishu are waiting for the day the Joint task forces will arrive and liberate them from the extreme UIC elements grip. Source told us most residents have now realized Ethiopian forces are in Somali soil to eliminate terrorists and TFG is not after UIC but the extreme wing of UIC who has been an obstacle to peace and unity government in Somalia.

The foreign mercenaries and terrorist in Somalia are gathering in Mogadishu and "Ras Camboni", near Kismayo not sure what their next step will be. Knowledgeable source are quoted the terrorist may be planning to leave Somalia after they were routed in Dinsoor and Buur Hakaba

Since the TFG issued a decree for all Somalia air and sea to be off limit no plane has been seen flying in Somalia air space. The TFG has requested Ethiopia to protect its air space and sources say Ethiopia has obliged. Mean time the Ethiopia government sincerely apologizes to all Moslems and Somalis that this war was imposed on it and was not its choice to start war during the fasting season. As can be recalled the extreme elements issued a 7 day warning period and started the war on the ninth day.
