Ethiopia
Needs a Guarantee and preferably the Solemn Oath of the President of the U.S.A
Thanks to the brave and heroic Ethiopian soldiers, Ethiopian has once
again become victorious over the enemy in one of the hostile countries
bordering Ethiopia. This dangerous political and military threat against
Ethiopia in the region usually referred to as “the horn of Africa”, which in
fact is a derogatory word for our region and which must have been referred to
as North East Africa, is as we all know was a problem once again revitalized by
Ethiopia’s age old enemies like Egypt, Saudi Arabians and other Arab countries
like Qatar and Dubai. These anti-Ethiopian countries that are literally nothing
more than oil holes and a flag and their bunch of lunatic herds never abandon
their sick ambitions to destabilize and if possible even fragment Ethiopia.
These same countries who on the one hand pretend to be a friend to the U.S.A,
on the other hand are doing their utmost to at least undermine the national
interests of the U.S.A but also cause considerable damage to its economy and
citizens. Unlike before Iraq is no more together with the rest of the lunatic
Arab countries mentioned above for the very obvious reason that the Bath party
is not only that of the past, but its brutal dictator Sadam Hussein is at last
punished for the crimes he committed in Iraq. The rememberer said that Sadam
together with all the enemies of Ethiopia have caused havoc in Ethiopia too,
and namely by supporting the “Arab Eritreans”. Today more than ever before one
hears even from some Christian Eritreans around here in Scandinavia claiming to
be Arabs. These same Eritreans who wine and dine with us “Habesha’s” in parties
arranged by Ethiopian’s without feeling any shame or remorse are bragging out loud
that they are “Arabs”. The heroic Ethiopian army’s victory against the ICU of
Somalia where international terrorists together with Eritreans joined the rank
and file of its fighting force to embark a war against Ethiopia have its seems
humbled those same Eritreans who just a while ago claimed to be Arabs and who
are for now are clearly denouncing their previous claims.
Eritrea’s hostile policy and continues war mongering against Ethiopia must not be ignored and Isayas Afewerki and his lieutenants must never be allowed to get away with murder they have committed against Ethiopian children and horrendous crimes committed against Ethiopia.
It is not the hostility and or an ever increasing warmongering of
Eritrea alone that is worrying me today.
What is worrying me a lot about Ethiopia today is the coming near
future and namely what can possibly happen to Ethiopia after two or three years
when President George Bush whom I personally conceder a very great friend of my
mother land Ethiopia is no longer in the White house.
The victory of the Ethiopian army over the fundamentalist Islamists
must never blind us to see the real danger which Ethiopia is bound to face in
the near future.
Eritrea is as hostile as it has been before and I do not think the
situation will change at least as long as Isayas and his lieutenant’s stay in
power. On the eastern part of Ethiopia, our other neighbor Djibouti only for a
couple of dollars more have started showing its true colors by making things
difficult for Ethiopia and opposing Ethiopia almost at every corner. Qatar and
Dubai as we know have taken over the port of Djibouti. Furthermore, Dubai is
already investing in port Messawa. It is obvious that the historical enemies of
Ethiopia by the help of their blood hound dogs among others Shabia are
tightening the noose around Ethiopia. In my personal opinion, it is also worth
mentioning that Sudan and or Somalia, including Somaliland neither can be
thrust worthy friends of Ethiopia. History teaches me that people in the
Eastern part of Ethiopia similar to our western neighbors never stand true to
what they say and or promise. At least
I can never ever trust them and will prefer to stay vigilant and work hard to
make it impossible for them not to break what was already agreed upon.
The only “safe” sea outlet for Ethiopia now is Kenya. Add to this how
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai and other hostile countries in the region are
consolidating their relations with European Union member countries and how they
are aggressively working hard to gain friends among the influential American
Democratic politicians.
Yes, today with President George W. Bush in the White house things are
totally different than a Democratic president in the white house after
President Bush, weather it will be Clinton, Obama and or Edwards. Is Ethiopia
ready for all these extremely difficult challenges? I do not know!
What I know is that President George W. Bush did not make a solemn oath
of the U.S.A to arm, protect and defend its true ally Ethiopia, or at least I
did not read anything like that.
If President George W. Bush will do that, truly the U.S.A will not only consolidate the ongoing peaceful and hopefully more rapid economic development of Ethiopia, but the U.S.A will get everything hundred fold from Ethiopia than from Egypt and other countries in the region that are hostile to the short and long term interest of the U.S.A. After all, Ethiopia is not only home to almost 80 million strong and growing Ethiopian’s but unlike Egypt that can not feed its own people despite the massive and multi billion dollar economic aid pumped to its economy every year by the generous U.S.A, Ethiopia definitely will be able to feed its people and also export food to countries including Egypt in the very near future.
So what will be the foreign policy of the government of the U.S.A
concerning Ethiopia when President George W. Bush is not anymore the President
of the U.S.A. Honestly speaking it worries me very much?
In my humble opinion the Ethiopian government must never waste a single
hour in convincing President George W. Bush to give a guarantee, preferably the
solemn oath of the President of the U.S.A to arm, protect and defend its strong
and unflinching ally Ethiopia. If Ethiopia gets that, the peaceful existence
and prosperous economic development of Ethiopia will become a certainty.
The Ethiopian Prime ministers office primarily but also the ministry of
foreign affairs and all the experienced diplomats and academicians must work
day and night to convince President George W. Bush hopefully to make it a
solemn oath of the President of U.S.A to arm, protect and defend Ethiopia. And,
hopefully if the above is materialized weather the president will be from the
Democratic or the Republican Party the U.S.A policy concerning Ethiopia will stay
the same and Ethiopia will be safe and prosperous and remain a very strong ally
of the U.S.A and its people.
