Extroverted or Introverted (E/I)-extroverts tend to be sociable and assertive verses introverts tend to be quiet and shy. Individuals who are sensed extroverts are talkative, sociable, action-oriented, enthusiastic, friendly, and out-going. Researchers also claim extroverts are better language learners than introverts. On the negative side, they are sometimes described as attention-seeking, easily distracted, and unable to spend time alone. On the other side, Introverts prefer one-on-one communication; express oneself in writing than in oral communication; seems to care about wealth, fame and status less than their peers; people tell them, they are good listeners; they are not big risk-takers.

In this case, PM Abiy is considered to be moderate to high extrovert. To mention few characteristics: PM Abiy loves not only to talk with friends, families and comrades but also would like to strike up conversations with strangers. As he continues to travel within Ethiopia and across neighboring countries he has shown his ability to speak/make a speech using different languages. He is inspired and energized by socializing or exchanging ideas including the opposite poles he stand with regard to political opinion and national interests. The personal development he has gone through including local media documentaries like “Father of Digitization”, and sponsored social media Ads expresses him well how he extrovert is. When you are mostly defined as extrovert, people often identify you as friendly and approachable. After the politically inflicted ethnic violence and economic turmoil the country was stormed by, studies have shown the emergence of PM Abiy Ahmed was welcomed by majority. Though, the fogs are not cleared in Ethiopia’s sky a support rally is organized for the new chief in command PM Abiy move towards reconciliation. Their big-picture leads them to implement their theoretical deep ideas with an imagination of innovative method of solutions towards the existing concepts and metaphors.

PM Abiy is well thought-out as low to moderate level of intuitive. The jaw-dropping reforms on high-level politicians and military heads, expelling and early retiring veteran fighters and founders of EPRDF, call for peace with those individuals and militant groups, named terrorists by house of parliament are supposed executed on the PM Abiy’s theoretical view of new administrative measures. The bold move that is followed after the political paradigm shift to westerners and the prime act to liberalize the market and privatize public enterprises are hard for someone who is practical and orderly (sensing) personality. However, as he is part of the party leading for the last 27 years, no one expects him to be totally revolutionary. He has been managing various offices and won’t see abrupt changes that swipe all his mentors.

The third categorization is thinking and feeling (T/F).  Thinking focuses on using reason and logic whereas feeling utilizes values and emotions.  Thinkers like to apply general truth regardless of the situations. They are impersonal, who want to analyze the pro and con of everything and love to find inconsistencies. Thinkers enjoy scientific fields and experimental labs where logic and rational justification is important. People with the Feeling (F) trait follow their hearts and emotions and care little about hiding them. Feelers appear to be more caring, compassionate, warm and tactful. Feelers would like whatever to do to maintain and or establish relationship.

According to what the writer observed, PM Abiy is low to moderate thinker. Interestingly, he has studied Computer Science and Advanced diploma in Cryptography which might label him as a thinker because of the nature of the study that could have asked him more effort to focus on logical manifestation of the study. But, it is not clear how effective he was while knowledge acquisitioning from the technical courses. His speech while he was addressing the parliament was soft enough to catch the emotions of many. He is admired for the human-side approach he incubated to his subordinates in his office that developed to be organizational culture in some bureaus. Moreover, when he visited the displaced citizens from the controversial ethnic violence between Sidama and Wolayta, he was emotional and cried in public regardless of the protocol he could have followed as a prime minister. In spite of, these ‘Feeler’ type characteristics of him, there should be more functions to be studied as if he is introvert feeler (Fi) or Extrovert feeler (Fe). Introvert feelers are those who care more for their own feelings and sometimes are seen as selfish. Extrovert feelers are those who feel others pain and immediately express their empathy. Most often, we see Dr. Abiy sharing the feelings of his opponents and those who are desperately low by the deranged and rhetoric hate towards others. Then, he is ‘Fe’ and is considered to be thinker. 

The last categorization relies on the personality type whether to judge or perceive. 'Judgers' want order and structure whereas 'perceivers' are more flexible and spontaneous. I think all the breaking News we are hearing indicates the flexible and spontaneous personality of the command in chief PM Abiy Ahmed. Hence PM Abiy is moderate to high perceiver.

In summary, PM Abiy Ahmed personality is ‘ENTP’ type. The ENTP personality type aka ‘The Debater’ is the ultimate devil’s advocate, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs and letting the ribbons drift in the wind for all to see.
