Living in Diaspora land, denied of any direct or indirect contact with family members and Tigray Adey by the Abiy regime in Addis, watching this uplifting video of Tigray Serawit from the front line is what the doctor ordered for me and I hope it is for you also. Glad to be born a Tigrayan! Viva Tigray Serawit! Zeru Hagos Sep 22, 2021

Tigray Government Statement on Humanitarian aid trucks to Tigray - 22 Sept 2021
Tigray Govt 9-22-21 - On September 16, 2021, UN Ethiopia, on its official twitter account, expressed concern that aid trucks that had come to Tigray have not returned yet. This statement was issued on the heels of an official statement from, among others, the Ministry of Peace with an identical message, hinting at an apparent coordination. Predictably, various media outlets affiliated with the Abiy Ahmed regime were busy amplifying UN Ethiopia's statement with the dangerous insinuation that either the trucks were being commandeered for a different purpose...

US: Ethiopia, Tigray Actors Can Avoid Sanctions by Ending Conflict
NAIROBI - The U.S. government is urging the Ethiopian government, rebel group Tigray People's Liberation Front, and other warring factions to end the conflict in Ethiopia's northern Tigray region and allow humanitarian aid to reach millions in need of assistance. Unless the conflict stops, key officials could be facing U.S. travel and financial sanctions.
It is irritating to read a US official blaming the aggressor and the victim equally in this conflict. TPLF led government of Tigray has accepted President Biden's call for a ceasefire provided essential services are turned on and status quo is respected. What else is the US asking from Tigray Govt? The US should not expect negotiation to start while the whole Tigray is under siege and Eritrean and Amhara militias are occupying Western Tigray and killing innocent Tigrayans throwing them into the Tekeze river daily!

Remarks by President Biden Before the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly
We cannot give up on solving raging civil conflicts, including in Ethiopia and Yemen, where fighting between warring parties is driving famine, horrific violence, human rights violations against civilians, including the unconscionable use of rape as a weapon of war.
Mr. President, Thank you for becoming the voice for the voiceless! Mr. President, you have the legal and moral authority to do something about it. Do not fail the heroic people of Tigray. The people are resilient and will do everything to remain independent but can use your help in taming Nato member countries and US-friendly countries from arming the genocidal Abiy Ahmed and Isaias Afeworki regimes.

Dying of hunger in Ethiopia's blockaded Tigray
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - In parts of Ethiopia's Tigray region, people now eat only green leaves for days. At a health center last week, a mother and her newborn weighing just 1.7 pounds died from hunger. In every district of the more than 20 where one aid group works, residents have starved to death. For months, the United Nations has warned of famine in this embattled corner of northern Ethiopia, calling it the world's worst hunger crisis in a decade.
History will remember the UN body for failing to save victims of genocide and man-made famine not only once but twice in the last half-century. The US with all its mighty power and moral authority will be remembered as the only superpower that failed to stop the genocide in Tigray.

Evidences and Analysis on the Biased Reporting and Lack of [Independence, Integrity, Impartiality, Credibility, Objectivity, Factual Consistency, and Professional Competence] of the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and its Chief Commissioner
TGSTS 9-20-21 - This report documents and examines the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission's (EHRC) role in the war in Tigray. Through its investigation of public sources (e.g., videos, reports, etc.), this document showcases that the EHRC lacks the impartiality and independence needed to lead and conduct an investigation into the alleged war crimes, crimes against humanity and acts ofgenocide being perpetrated in Tigray.

Statement by the Government of Tigray on President Biden's Executive Order on the crisis in Ethiopia. Sept 18, 2021
Tigray Govt 9-18-21 - The Government of Tigray wishes to express its appreciation for the consistent and constructive efforts of the Administration of President Joe Biden, the United States Government, and the United States Congress to bring about a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Tigray in particular and in Ethiopia in general. The Government of Tigray is particularly grateful for the diverse steps taken by the United States Government to address breaches of International Humanitarian Law, and grave human rights violation by Ethiopian, Eritrean and allied Amhara forces operating in Tigray....

Why the United Nation's Security Council is erroneous On Human Rights Investigations and its contemplation in Tigrai?
B. TeweldeB 09-16-21 - A shattering and genocidal war was waged against the people of Tigrai because they firmly fought for their right to self-determination and they held a democratic election. Abiy Ahmed invited forces, including the Eritrean army, Somali, and others, and they massacred the people. The invasion and massacre have continued. So does the struggle of the people of Tigrai. That's why, the United Nation's Security Council, a powerful organ with the mandate to impose sanctions and military actions, has discussed the issue of Tigrai.

Statement by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. on the Executive Order Regarding the Crisis in Ethiopia
The White House 09-17-21 - The ongoing conflict in northern Ethiopia is a tragedy causing immense human suffering and threatens the unity of the Ethiopian state. Nearly one million people are living in famine-like conditions, and millions more face acute food insecurity as a direct consequence of the violence. Humanitarian workers have been blocked, harassed, and killed. I am appalled by the reports of mass murder, rape, and other sexual violence to terrorize civilian populations.

Comment:- While we are delighted to see the US government heightened interest to end the ongoing genocide in Tigray, we are surprised to see the White House still thinks the AU and the UN are relevant at this stage of the conflict. The US has all the necessary means to stop this war. Abiy Ahmed and Isaias Afeworki are supported by key US partners in the middle east. The US should pursue sanctions without delay so these third-party countries can cease their support. The US can declare a no-fly zone in Ethiopia and let the combatants finish the job so lasting peace is achieved. Isaias Afeworki has lived long to know him that he is not interested in negotiation. The US knows this - at least Susan Rice does!
Tigrayans will welcome any ceasefire provided the blockage is lifted, however, the US and others should know Tigrayans have decided to finish the job no matter what the cost will be. All indications are Tigrayans including military and political leaders have agreed to say Enough is Enough as far as waiting for the international community to come to their rescue. Besifrina!!

Why does Tigray need United Nation Human Right Commission Investigation in the first Place?
GebreSelama 09-17-21 - When I was an immature younger man, I used to consider UN as the most powerful, and the richest human organization that is charged as overseer of all human security and welfare. I know most Ethiopians think like that too. Getting employment by UN and its branches was considered by Ethiopians as going to heaven. Reason, they drive the...

Ethiopia: Eritrean Refugees Targeted in Tigray
On November 19, Eritrean forces arrived in the town of Hitsats and indiscriminately killed several residents. They occupied and pillaged the town and took over the refugee camp. Some refugees took part in the looting, contributing to community tensions. On November 23, the Tigrayan militia entered Hitsats camp and attacked refugees near the camp's Orthodox church. Clashes between the militia fighters and Eritrean soldiers ensued in and around the camp
President Debretsion has repeatedly assured the UN and any responsible international independent body to come to Tigray to investigate any wrongdoings by Tigray Army or Tigray Militias. Any attempt to tarnish the struggle of Tigrayans to get rid of invaders and dictators will not diminish Tigrayan's resolve going forward. Tigray has welcome Eritrean refugees for many years and it makes no sense to blame them for anything that may have happened during a battle. The Eritrean one-man regime and Abiy Ahmed are responsible for all atrocities committed in Tigray over the last year or so.

THE ETHIOPIAN WMD
Ezana Sehay 09-15-2021 - It has become hard to keep track of all the developments in the frenzied circus of tome foolery and gutter politics that is the Ethiopian government. But one thing is certain, it has become an embarrassing mess, a degrading and degraded spectacle, driven by rivers of frantic speculations, feeding on fake news, conspiracy theories, and hyper-tribal narratives, and ultimately powered by self-serving certitude of the side that has lost civil and political legitimacy.

Tigray Government Letter To Marcel C. Akpovo Regional Representative Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, East Africa Regional Office Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Tigray Govt 9-14-21 - The Government of Tigray is committed to achieving justice for the many victims of brutal transgressions on life and dignity and continues to demand for an independent investigation into genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and state-sponsored hate crimes, including any' breaches on the part of Tigrayan armed forces and aligned . We assure the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights of our commitment to facilitating an independent investigation based on the principles of impartiality and objectivity. For this reason, we staunchly opposed the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC), and its commissioner’s role in the investigation. The commission and its commissioner have engaged in whitewashing atrocities and impeded....

Opposition to the Decision of Human Rights Council to Receive the Report on the Joint Investigation by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission
GSTS 9-14-21 - The Global Society of Tigray Scholars and Professionals (GSTS), a non-partisan and autonomous global knowledge network representing over 3200 Tigrayan scholars and professionals all over the world, strongly denounces the plan of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to present a report on the joint investigation conducted by it and the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission on the crimes committed during the ongoing war on Tigray.

UN: Probe in Ethiopia's Tigray didn't reach Axum massacre
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - The United Nations human rights chief on Monday said a highly awaited joint investigation into abuses in Ethiopia's Tigray conflict was unable to deploy to the site of one of its deadliest attacks, the alleged massacre of several hundred people in the holy city of Axum.

The myth of foreign backing to Tigray's struggle for freedom
Kalayu Abrha 09-13-21 - Bacha Debele and Sahlework Zewde exchanged pleasantries on their shared illusions on the external backing for the freedom struggle in Tigray. They contradicted their own actions, which spoke much louder than the words, that the invasion of Tigray and the mass extermination attempt by alternating methods of using bullet and hunger was nothing similar to what one does to fellow compatriots. While the two and their associates are mobilizing the people...
