On The Precipice

On The Precipice

The family house is filled with rancor

Uncertainties abound about its future

Will it collapse or stand?

In these difficult times when brothers and sisters

Disown one another callously

The question of the day demands a timely fresh answer

Yet the force of old practices blurs one’s vision

Placed on the precipice

In history’s fatal position

As if the work of a reckless driver

Can we avert a calamitous descent

Into the depths of collective destruction?

Or can we be inspired to pull ourselves

Out of such a predicament

And move forward hand in hand

To secure a common destiny

In the full splendor

Of mature understanding and freedom

Prosperity and unshakeable strength?
