(Aigaforum 04/19/08):- The one man regime in Eritrea invades its neighbor. It did it again! According to reliable source from the area Eritrea has ordered its troops to cross deep in to Djibouti territory. Sources tells us Eritrean troops are 30Km deep inside Djibouti territory. According to sources Eritrean troops are now regrouping in and around Rahaita to reinfocre the troops deep inside Djibouti. Mean time the surprised and bewildered Djiboutian government has ordered its defense forces to remain in stand by and have sent heavily armed troops towards Rahita.

Sources tell us the Djiboutian government hoping to avert a confrontation had asked   explanation for the invasion but did not get satisfactory reply. According to the same source the Eritrean regime told the government of Djibouti the measure was taken to stop fleeing/deserting Eritrean soldiers.

However talking to knowledgeable sources, the one man regime in Eritrea is under extreme duress because of internal economic hardship and due to its isolation from international arena. The recent news about Somalia reconciliation effort spearheaded by Djibouti, Ethiopia as well as the AU may also have added to the regimes isolation. The Somali opposition force against the TFG he has been nurturing in Somalia is unraveling fast and are said to be willing to negotiate with the TFG.
