Why Shabiya Desperately Wants to Destabilize Ethiopia?

Ethiopia has been the victim of Shabiya’s conspiracy and blackmail for over three decades. In addition to killing Ethiopians & Ethiopia, Shabiya has done everything in its power to destabilize our country and to erase it from the map of Africa. Through its agents both in Ethiopia and abroad, it has launched ceaseless anti-Ethiopian campaign in all fronts. One may wonder why Shabiya is so keen to destabilize Ethiopia given the historical relationship between the two peoples. The answer is easy and straight forward. Shabiya knows well that if Ethiopia registers uninterrupted economic growth, Eritreans would look across the border and begin to realize that they have much to gain than to lose by uniting with a giant and prosperous neighbor. Many Ertreans would consider Shaibya a hollow organization, and thus kill the dictator’s dream of making “Eritrea an African Taiwan.” The madman of Asmara knows that he can’t make Eritrea “an African Taiwan” without Ethiopian resources. When Ethiopia denies the parasite access to its resources, it is quite evident that the parasite would come with vengeance and attack with all it’s “might” or at least be a conduit to potentially destabilizing forces. The 64,000.00 dollar question is what should we do to solve this problem? Should we go to war and destroy Shaibya once and for all so that it won’t linger around again and affect our economic development?
I think we shouldn’t go to war at this time because we had enough of it. There are other ways we could employee to kill Shaibya without war. The solution is to have peace and reconciliation between forces dominating the Ethiopian political landscape. It would be a defeat for Shabiya if the government shows magnanimity and frees opposition leaders jailed in November 2005. It would demonstrate statesmanship and courage on the part of EPRDF to reach out to its opponents and bring them back to the political process. Why not? Prime Minister Meles is an able leader who has done a lot for his country. I personally appreciate his fight against poverty. He has made invaluable contributions in expanding education, health, road, electric city, etc. By so doing, he has laid solid foundation for the future development of the country.
Now that Shabiya and many of our traditional enemies have coalesced to undermine our national development endeavor and some foolish Ethiopians have also joined hands with sworn enemies of their own country, it would only be prudent to bring about national reconciliation and forge unity of purpose/direction among the various actors in the political spectrum and between the government and the people at large. The government has to take popular measures to rally the people on its side and one such measure would be the release of political leaders and bring closure to the election saga once and for all. We have great leaders both in the government and the opposition and by being magnanimous for the sake of the country & employ give and take (win win) methods, we should send a chilling message to Shaibia that our people are united more than ever and that Ethiopia won’t be destabilized, come what may. Let’s Kill Shabiya & its ambition of destabilizing our beloved country by embarking on peace and reconciliation and freeing political leaders. Let there be no political prisoner in the Ethiopian Millennium. That way, we will kill Shabiay more than we killed & humiliated it in the May 2000 blistering offensive.
Victory to the Ethiopian People!!!
Victory to the Ethiopian Armed Forces!!!
