Response to Zeru Hagos
Zeru, Please get your facts straight before raising your pen and racing a marathon of Character -assassination and sniping at will. It is irresponsible and disservice to a society to write as you wish without having any regard to the facts & its sequences.
I had the privilege of attending the teleconference, which you have labeled as the “tele-conference of the disgruntled”. Contrary to what you have written, please allow me to present the facts as they were:
Fact #1: There were over 30 attendants and they aren’t from the same kushet, nor do they all belong to one particular camp/organization. Truth be told, I don’t think every one knows each other. I, for one, don’t previously know about one-third of the attendants. So your deliberate choice of the word kushet is mind-boggling to say the least.
Fact #2: Few of the conferees might have been former TPLF supporters, but not all of them as you put it.
.
Fact #3: The agenda was only and only about the plight of Siye Abraha.
Fact #4: No resolution was passed; I vehemently repeat that there was no resolution at all to demonstrate during Tigray Festival. In fact, the final decision, the conference agreed upon is almost identical to what you have articulated on paragraph 3 of the very same article. Having said that, lets assume there was a resolution to demonstrate and demand justice for Siye. Is it a crime?
Fact #5: If the intent of the conference was as evil as you have bluntly announced to the whole world, the organizers of that particular conference would not have approached UTNA to participate at the conference. Zeru, I beg you not to insult the intelligence of your Tigrean brothers & sisters. If any of us are interested to conspire or accuse Meles, UTNA won’t make it to the list of Co-conspirators (no offense: UTNA)
So, my question to you, Zeru is what and based on what is the fuss all about? Isn’t it fair to deduce from your writing that you are of the opinion that we, Tigreans can’t gather, discuss and ask questions that we deem are appropriate & relevant? As Tigreans are we only allowed to praise & extol the EPRDF?
As bizarre as the content of your article is, I could have raised numerous questions, but let me conclude by appealing to you that you admit a mistake was done, correct your mistake and be example for others.
However, if you opt to continue with such a blunder, you won’t be any different from the website masters & talk-radio hosts, who are irresponsibly disseminating, hate, lies, division, and etc. with virulent writings & speeches
As a final note, I must admit that I was completely flabbergasted when I came across the part of your daring article, which diagnosed the conferees with the “same sickness same symptom” as that of kinijit.
Brother Zeru, if you have the Courage and determination to kill an enemy, please make sure you have aimed at the right target. Shooting randomly at every direction, not only is a waste of bullets but can also cause unintended casualty.
So long,
Amare
