( Aigaforum):-Things have settled in Diaspora land. For most part the chatters have gotten so boring people are ignoring what is being said in the corridors of Starbuck café and internet rooms. CUD Diaspora supporters have had their shares in silencing the noisy crowds when they faced head on the most notorious noisy person in North America Elias Kifle. Elias Kifle these days is acting like Ras Sehul Michael of the Zemene Mesafint crowning kings single handedly. Elias after his stint to cause havoc in the country with the help of pupils of elementary and secondary school failed has turned against CUD North America cadres. Berhane Mewa has had it with Elias source say. He is coming out in full force to distance CUD from Elias’s treachery. Apparently the recent alleged flurry of letters from kalti prisoners like Hailu Shawl indicating a shum shir posted on Ethiopian Review  not in Kinijit website, is to undermine Berhane Mewa post in CUD Diaspora.

Close source to CUD NA who wanted to remain anonymous told us that the CUD NA has decided to cut any relationship with Elias and his gangs. Infact, said the source, Elias was confronted in one of the pal talk rooms for causing the “disappearance”, “killing” and “jailing” of known opposition figures in Ethiopia because of his ridiculous and “criminal” activities. Elias apparently was so amazed people were criminalizing him, he vehemently denied causing the jailing of the mentioned “lawyer” (name omitted). Meanwhile, CUD NA instead has opted to spend some $40K a month for lobbying US officials. Though not substantiated EX-Mayor Guliani is rumored to be the next CUD NA lobbyist.

For democracy to flourish it requires a working functioning instutitions, it requires responsible oppositions as well as responsible majority party. Observers say the failure of CUD has hurt democracy. However, thanks to UEDF-Ethiopia the fledgling democracy is alive. With the Ledetu’s party joining parliament at last there is hope for democracy to take a foot hold in Ethiopia.

A coalition by the name AFD is formed some where in Europe. This coalition is unique from the last three we saw come and go. This time Shaebia (Govt of Eritrea) has been instrumental in bringing both rebel organization and Diaspora groups that oppose the current Ethiopian Government to form a coalition. The problem is these organizations are diametrical opposite to each other. The shaebia folks could careless if this coalition succeeds running Ethiopia after the Meles government is deposed. Infact Shaeibia’s dream has been removing Pm Meles from power and disintegrating Ethiopia. Sources say Wedi Kassa head of supervision of the Ethiopian oppositions in Eritrea may have succeeded to please his boss by announcing AFD. Expect Wedi Kassa to be promoted.

The recent bombing in Addis is said to have roots in Asmera and Diaspora land. Sources say internet chatters for the past months are being scrutinized by authorities. It is rumored Addis authorities have requested respected foreign governments help in identifying subjects of interest.
