I have been reading your MAIL BAG articles by some individuals urging the Ethiopian government to deal with Shabia once and for all. These individual’s frustration comes from the "baby sitting" attitude of The Ethiopian gov't towards The Shabia Regime. Yes, most of us are dying to see the humiliation and the end of the Shabia regime, and can't wait to the day when the Ethiopian Gov't say enough is enough. However, it is very wise for us as Ethiopians to somehow forgive the Ethiopian Gov't's past attitudes toward the enemy and give it (FOR ONE LAST TIME) a chance, support and appropriate time to deal with our enemies.

The stake is high here my friends. The region might turn into turmoil, and that is exactly what Ethiopia doesn’t want. We have to look at the attitudes of the international community, the current economic growth in Ethiopia, the support of the entire Ethiopian people, oppositions who may capitalize on this situation, the rules and policies of engaging war etc....

No doubt Ethiopian Army can stand toe-to-toe head to head and still can deliver victory against Shabia, UIC, and all puppets alike put together. However, we can't let our testosterone guide us. We have to wait for the perfect time, to justify our action properly in front of the international community as well as our people. As Olympic sprinters say "CHOOSE YOUR RUNNING DAY".

In addition it is also wise to analyze the miscalculation of the enemy. Shabias effort to destabilize Ethiopia can also works in UNITING ETHIOPIA. We have learned that from past experience. Even at this moment the frustration toward the Shabia's evil deed is growing amongst many Ethiopian abroad and at home. However, quick decisions may extend the life of the conflict itself.

We also have to let Shabia make itself weaker and weaker by the day. As we all know the Regime is exhausting its finance and resources in attempt to build its army, supporting UIC, hiding its own fast growing internal conflicts with oppositions at the expense of the Eritrean people suffering. Most experts are predicting Shabia is losing grip and we will see its own destruction in the near future. The activity it is doing in the horn is the evidence of that.

If we Ethiopians eliminate Esayas at his own game, we can actually make him IMMORTAL after his death. Let him pull the trigger first so we can burry him in his own hole or hand him over to his own people so he can experience the fate of his IDOL MOSSOULINI.

Let us (Ethiopians) not get agitated, discouraged, lose hope, or rush to decisions, every time Shabia lights a small camping fire, when OVERWEIGHT GENERALS DEFECT, when UIC flex its undeveloped muscles, when misguided opposition groups drink Budweiser together, when illiterate medias polarize small issues. "DESPERATE SITUATION LEADS TO DESPERATE MEASURE". Remember, for the first time, Ethiopians can see that our potential to a brighter future is OUTWEIGHING all our problems and shortcomings put together.

Again, let us give The Ethiopian Gov't (who has to deal with so many of its short comes) ONE LAST CHANCE to do the right thing.
