Meles Zenawi : an extraordinary legacy on environment and development

Meles Zenawi left college at the age of 19 in 1975 to fight against the Derg; after 16 years that brutal military regime was overcome and he led Ethiopia, first as President, then as Prime Minister, for two decades.
The sorrow we feel right now is unimaginable. However it would have been worst had Meles and our unsung heroes had failed to leave us a country with a bright future! They did not and we will remember them forever and cherish their legacy! Meles we miss you very much! Meles rest assured we have carried on from where you left and things are okay! In an online interview with gezategaru Engineer Semegnew gave an update on the development of the Hedase dam. Engineer Semegew also shared a heart breaking personal encounter with the late PM during the Hedase Dam ground breaking ceremony. Engineer told the audience Meles sat down unusually for a long time in the middle of sweltering heat after the ceremony was finished. The engineer told the audience Meles may have sat there for long knowing that he may never come back to see the site again. The interview was done as part of a daylong event to remember PM Meles legacy on the first anniversary of his untimely death.
